The Marching Band is one of the most
visible ambassadors of River Hill High School. This all-volunteer
ensemble is comprised of students from all grades and ability levels who
display the commitment, pride and excellence that are the hallmarks of the
program. The River Hill Marching Band travels throughout the state and
surrounding region, performing in competitions sponsored by the United
States Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) and Bands of America (BOA).
The River Hill Marching Band promotes school spirit by
performing at home and away football games, local parades, and special events.
The River Hill Marching Band is comprised of winds (woodwinds,
brass), percussion (battery, front ensemble), and color guard (flags, rifles,
sabers).
Marching Band Orientation
The Marching Band Orientation Meeting occurs every year in
early spring to give prospective members an idea of what is required of all
members. All students who plan to participate in marching band must
attend, accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Marching Band Handbook
The Marching Band Handbook contains important information
about attendance, participation requirements, uniforms, and performances, as
well as other policies which affect marching band members.
