IN STYLE!

Maintaining the high standards of excellence we’ve set for ourselves requires a huge investment of time, energy, and money. We’re committed to providing the best facilities, training, and equipment for the dedicated performers who proudly wear the colors of River Hill High School.

Why new uniforms?

The River Hill High School Music Program has a growing history of excellence, which we continue to build upon each day. However, our marching band uniforms are over a decade old, and they are really showing some wear! The band uniforms have not been replaced since River Hill opened in 1996. Each band uniform has been hemmed, dry-cleaned, re-hemmed, altered, and worn outside in all kinds of weather by numerous students over the past twelve years. These students deserve a uniform they can wear with pride that is befitting the hard work and effort they put into each performance.

Uniform Pillows

So what happens to the old uniforms ? We turn them into pillows of course. We are now taking orders for custom designed pillows (16" x 16") made from the jacket and pants of the original RHHS Marching Band uniforms. Cost is $35 and all proceeds benefit the Marching Band Uniform Project Fund. Click here for an order form.

How does the Uniform Project Work?

The cost of each uniform is listed above. We are asking individuals, families and corporations to donate funds so that we can purchase new uniforms. There are several ways to donate. Purchase ("adopt") a complete uniform (or several!) or make a donation toward parts of a uniform. Donors of a complete uniform will have their name recorded on a donor tag sewn into the uniform jacket. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us toward our goal of outfitting the marching band in brand new, custom designed uniforms for the 2008 season.

What is in it for me?

In return for your donation, you will have the satisfaction of supporting a program that teaches young people the value of hard work, discipline, commitment, teamwork and excellence. Your donation of a complete uniform will be commemorated on the donor tag, which is a visible sign to our students of the support they have from the community in their pursuit of excellence.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! The River Hill High School Music Boosters, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
