Other Ensembles

The Percussion Ensemble involves select members from the Music Program.  This ensemble is open to anyone interested in becoming a better musician/percussionist through hard work and commitment.  No previous percussion experience is necessary.  In addition to the regularly scheduled class period, mandatory dress rehearsals and sectionals (during the school day) will be required. Performances include:  Winter Concert, Spring Concert, HCPSS District VIII Solo & Ensemble Festival, Spring Adjudication Trip (attendance optional), MMEA State Solo & Ensemble Festival, and  School Assemblies/Community Outreach.

Chamber Ensembles are smaller performing ensemble and can include Brass Quartet/Quintet/Ensemble, Woodwind Quartet/Quintet/Ensemble, like-instrument choirs.  Rehearsals are held after school or in the evenings.  Mandatory dress rehearsals will be required.  Members must be enrolled in a curricular performing ensemble to participate.  Performances may include Chamber Music Concerts, HCPSS District VII Solo & Ensemble Festival, MMEA State Solo & Ensemble Festival, and Community Outreach.
